Certifies Perrigo Good Sense® Products

NSF
International announces the first national retail brand to receive
certification through the NSF Dietary Supplements Certification
Program. The Perrigo Company Good Sense® brand nutritional products
that have been certified will be listed on the NSF consumer web
site and in NSF certified product listing books.
Perrigo
Company is the largest US manufacturer of store-brand and contract-manufacturing
nutritional products. The company's store brand products can be
found in drug stores, supermarkets and mass merchandising retail
chains nationwide (www.perrigo.com).
The
NSF Dietary Supplements Certification Program provides independent
testing and verification of quality for supplement products and
manufacturing processes. NSF conducts formula reviews, plant audits,
and laboratory testing to determine conformance to NSF's national
standard for dietary supplements.
This
national standard was developed through a consensus process with
participation from dietary supplement manufacturers, raw material
suppliers, retailers, trade associations, academic researchers,
public health practitioners, government officials and consumer groups.
The standard provides methodology and evaluation criteria to verify
ingredient identities and quantities. It also provides test criteria
for specific contaminants and conformance to good manufacturing
practices (GMPs).

a true definition of validating product quality. Because the NSF
program is independent and based on consensus standards, it offers
